blueice.dev ("the Site") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is used. We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the Site.

Data We Collect

Automatically Collected

  • IP addresses — used for rate limiting to prevent abuse. Stored temporarily and automatically deleted after a few minutes.
  • Basic analytics — we use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous page view data (no cookies, no personal data).

Generated by Your Actions

  • Build generations — when you generate build ideas, your prompt and the generated ideas are stored in our database so you can revisit them via a unique URL.
  • Shared build results — when you click "Share", your build idea and concept art image are stored in our database and made publicly accessible via a unique URL.
  • Image quality feedback — when you rate a generated image (thumbs up/down), the vote is stored with an anonymous identifier generated in your browser. No personal information is attached.
  • Generated images — concept art images are stored permanently on our servers (Cloudflare R2) for shared results and quality tracking.

What We Do NOT Collect

  • No account registration or login
  • No email addresses (unless you contact us directly)
  • No tracking cookies
  • No personal information
  • No payment or financial data

How We Use Your Data

  • Rate limiting — IP addresses are used solely to prevent abuse and are not stored long-term.
  • Shared results — stored to enable the sharing feature. Publicly accessible by anyone with the link.
  • Quality feedback — used internally to improve our AI-generated image quality.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process data:

  • Vercel — hosting and analytics (privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
  • Anthropic (Claude) — AI text generation. Your build descriptions are sent to generate ideas and block suggestions. (privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy)
  • Replicate — AI image generation. Build descriptions are sent to generate concept art. (privacy policy: replicate.com/privacy)
  • Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and image storage. (privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)
  • Neon (via Vercel Postgres) — database hosting. (privacy policy: neon.tech/privacy-policy)

Local Storage

The Site uses your browser's localStorage to save your build history (idea names, thumbnails, and generation links) and an anonymous voter ID for image feedback. This data never leaves your browser except when explicitly submitting feedback. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings or the "Clear history" button.

Data Retention

  • Rate limiting data: deleted automatically after a few minutes
  • Build generations: stored indefinitely (may be removed at our discretion)
  • Shared build results: stored indefinitely (may be removed at our discretion)
  • Quality feedback: stored indefinitely for internal analysis
  • Generated images: stored indefinitely on Cloudflare R2

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal information or require accounts, there is minimal personal data to manage. If you have shared a build result and would like it removed, contact us and we will remove it.

Children's Privacy

The Site does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since no account or personal information is required to use the Site, we do not have a mechanism to determine the age of users.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
